For ages various societies in Tanzania have been facing considerable number of challenges, which include poor access to decent health facilities, quality education, living below poverty level and gender inequality. The challenges have thus impeded the communities to reach their potentials and continue depending on the government to address their challenges. Marafiki Tanzania aims at promoting and facilitating access to quality health services in the community; promote tools and knowledge that will enable schools, students and the community to access quality education; impart knowledge and promote gender equality; to undertake policy advocacy on relevant issues; to promote environmental protection and awareness; and advocating for policy coherence for sustainable development while putting the communities at the fore front of the implementations of the programs and projects.
